EIA: US Retail Regular Gasoline Up 3rd Week to 28wks High
OAKHURST, N.J. (DTN) --- The national average for retail regular gasoline
rose for a third straight week, up 4cts to $3.668 gallon as of Monday (4/22),
the highest price since the week ended Oct. 9, 2023, while 1.2cts above the
average during the same week in 2023, according to the latest Energy
Information Administration data.
EIA reports prices mostly increased across the major PADDs, with the Midwest
PADD 2 and West Coast PADD 5 bucking the trend. The PADD 5 price point moved
off a 25-week high, falling 2.1cts to $4.832 gallon while the PADD 2 price
backed down from a 28-week high, easing 0.2cts to $3.463 gallon.
Data show the East Coast PADD 1 with the largest week-on-week gain, jumping
8.9cts to $3.540 gallon, a 30-week high.
The Gulf Coast PADD 3 price point rose 5.5cts to a 29-week high $3.232
gallon and the Rocky Mountain PADD 4 price gained 2.8cts to $3.456 gallon, a
24-week high.
