EIA: US Retail Regular Gasoline Posts 1st Decline in 6Wks
OAKHURST, N.J. (DTN) --- The national average for retail regular gasoline
declined for the first time in six weeks, down 2.5cts to $3.471 gallon as of
Monday (7/22), 12.5cts below the same week in 2023, according to the latest
Energy Information Administration data.
The agency reports the Midwest PADD 2 price jumped 5.7cts to an eight-week
high $3.426 gallon as of Monday, the only PADD to register an increase on the
week.
At the Gulf Coast PADD 3 and Rocky Mountain PADD 4, the retail regular
gasoline price tumbled 6.3cts on the week to $3.047 gallon and $3.323 gallon,
respectively.
Data show the West Coast PADD 5 price slid 5.4cts to a 21-week low $4.137
gallon and the East Coast PADD 1 dropped 5.7cts to $3.409 gallon.
