US LNG Exports DN 3.4% to 306.7 Bcf in April, Up 45.8% YoY CRANBURY, N.J. (DTN) -- The United States exported 306.7 billion cubic feet of liquified natural gas in April, down 3.4% from March while 45.8% more than year ago, according to data released this afternoon by the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Oil and Natural Gas, with 92 cargos departing U.S. ports during the month. China offloaded the majority of U.S. LNG for April, receiving 46.8 Bcf of gas, with France the destination point for 36.1 Bcf of U.S. produced gas. Japan received 28.8 Bcf of U.S. LNG exports, followed by Spain, 23 Bcf, and South Korea, 21.7 Bcf. In April, 32 cargos departed from Sabine Pass, Louisiana, 19 from Freeport, Texas, 18 from Corpus Christi, Texas, 15 from Cameron, La., five from Cove Point, Maryland, and three from Elba Island, Georgia. The United States has exported 7.316 trillion cubic feet of LNG by vessel since February 2016, the first month a U.S. LNG export cargo departed from the Lower 48 states. (c) Copyright 2021 DTN, LLC.
